Welcome to the Journey
We help you build emotional strength and clarity through guided courses, live sessions, and a caring community.
mPOWER Program
Developing mental fitness follows the same principles as physical training. Mastering a sport like rock climbing takes time and repeated sessions, and mental and emotional skills are no different. We learn a skill, practice it until it becomes ingrained, and then build upon it—one skill at a time—shifting our focus from what’s lacking to what’s working.

Overview: How We Do It
Building mental fitness, one skill at a time

Inside the program, learning happens in layers. Each month you’ll join a live online session led by a psychologist to learn a new skill, work through supporting self-paced materials, and practice what you’re learning over time—all with regular opportunities to ask questions and get help when you need it.
Step 1: Learn
Learning new skills can be frustrating. At times, you may feel stuck or unsure whether you’re doing it right—and that’s completely normal. Being stuck is part of the process; staying stuck doesn’t have to be. Each month, you’ll have multiple opportunities for support, including a live Q&A session with questions submitted in advance, biweekly office hours where you can show up and ask questions in real time, and time for Q&A following each monthly presentation with Dr. Hickman. You’ll also have the ongoing support of the community and your peers.

Step 2: Ask Questions
You’ll have the option to self-select into accountability pods—small groups for those who value connection, encouragement, and support. If interested, you’ll join an online meet-and-greet where you’ll be placed into breakout rooms to connect and exchange information, then meet on your own going forward. You’ll also have access to the larger private community for ongoing support, ideas, and sharing both wins and challenges. And of course, monthly Q&As and open office hours.
Step 3: Grow Your Support

Each month, new lessons will be added to the portal to support the featured topic—but they won’t be the only courses available. We intentionally focus on teaching one core skill at a time, along with practical guidance for applying it across different situations. When ready to go deeper, additional learning tracks will be made available that combine multiple skills or introduce more challenging applications. These advanced “challenge courses” are designed to deepen mastery but only once foundational skills are in place.

Step 4: Dive Deeper
We believe strong families and communities begin with individuals who develop mental and emotional skills for themselves—and then share them with others. Some members choose to learn alongside friends for added accountability, though we generally recommend not starting with close family due to existing dynamics that can complicate early learning. As your skills develop and positive changes become visible, others are often drawn to your growth. That’s a natural moment to share your journey—and when they’re ready, we’re happy to support them too.
Step 5: Share the Journey
